Who is HRACO

(HRACO) is a member organization of local Human Resource professionals who are also members of the National Association; The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

HRACO offers professionals in the Human Resources field opportunities for skills enhancement as well as tools to obtain certification as professionals in the field of HR.  We meet the third Wednesday of each month and have speakers on various HR-related topics.

SHRM - The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the world's largest association devoted to human resource management.  Representing more than 180,000 individual members, the Society's mission is to serve the needs of HR professionals by providing the most essential and comprehensive resources available.  As an influential voice, the Society's mission is also to advance the human resource profession to ensure that HR is recognized as an essential partner in developing and executing organizational strategy.  Founded in 1948, SHRM currently has more than 500 affiliated chapters within the United States and members in more than 100 countries.

HRACO's mission is to provide opportunities for education, networking and community connection to human resource professionals in Central Oregon.

The mission of SHRM is to serve the needs of the human resource management professional by providing the most essential and comprehensive set of resources available.  In addition, the Society is committed to advancing the human resource profession and the capabilities of all human resource professionals to ensure that HR is an essential and effective partner in developing and executing organizational strategy.

 

 
The Board of Directors meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month for the purpose of providing strategic planning to benefit our members.  This includes finances, education, programming and networking, as well as, aligning our projects with SHRM.  A position description of each position can be viewed by selecting the title under each professionals image.

Ms. Tank has over 25 years of experience successfully representing employers in labor and employment matters. Her law firm, Tank Law, PC, was named a 2014 Tier Two “Best Law Firm” by US News and Best Lawyers. Ms. Tank is currently the Legislative Affairs Chair for HRACO, and is the President of the Oregon Employer Council – Central Oregon.

Karen is the HR Manager at Pahlisch Homes in Bend. Karen recently relocated to Central Oregon from the Portland area, where she was born and raised. Her background combines over 13 years of human resources, management and event planning experience in the construction, legal, hospitality and manufacturing industries. Karen graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Portland State University.

Molly has supported the Hospitality Industry through Human Resource leadership for more than  10 years.  Currently she is the Director of Human Resources for Sunriver Resort.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Colorado State University in Hospitality Management and Master’s Degree in Organization Development from University of San Francisco. She is also PHR and SHRM-CP certified.
